Health Canada, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and BSH Home Appliances Corporation have issued, on October 1, 2015, a joint recall of certain home appliances due to overheating.

This overheating can pose a fire hazard and need immediate repair. To this day, BSH has received 10 overheating reports, including five reports of fire resulting in property damage. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves power cords supplied with certain Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau and Kenmore Elite dishwashers.

The recalled dishwashers were manufactured from January 2008 through December 2013. Model and serial numbers can be found below.

Where to find the serial number and model number on your dishwasher

Model and serial numbers are located on the top side of the dishwashers’ inner door panels.

What to do if your dishwasher is affected by the recall

  1. Immediately stop using the affected appliance;
  2. Call 1-888-965-5813 to get an authorization number and register your appliance;
  3. Contact Service 2000 to report the situation and allow us to order the replacement kit to upgrade your product.
